wedding speech

ok guys.

getting married 21st march, so big day not far away. thats if i survive the stag weekend.

 

obviously a speech will be served on the poor guests, so anyone got any tips on what to say and what to include? jokes welcome!

 

appriciate it if we could stay on topic please....................not nervous at all

Keep it short and sweet, dont rattle on for yonks, tbh only takes a few mins 5 at the most.

 

Just thank the main peeps (leave non of them out)

 

Congrats and enjoy yourselves, thats what its all about you 2.

 

All the above and dont forget to say how good your new wife looks. :001_cool:

First, do you and your future Wife a favour - don't have your stag-do the night before - too risky IMO.

 

Speech; small notecards can help; thank the appropriate people; have a joke about your best man perhaps since he may have one for you. Never EVER forget to give credit to your new Mrs Firewoodman, raise a toast etc. When you start, you can say "Myself and my Wife would like to thank you all for coming blah blah blah"; that typically gets a cheer which can calm nerves well. Best of British to you... and Congratulations.:001_smile:

Remember that everybody will be enjoying themselves and will all wish the best for you and will laugh at your gags... They don't have to be that funny. And remember to try to pause to let them laugh. You'll enjoy it hopefully. It's one of the best days of your life and you'll have things that you WANT to say to and about your new wife. No need to make things up
