If you wanted a fixed D why didn't you buy a petzl Navaho? They are used a in rope access.

The I'd is a good idea as it is fail safe but its not best suited to the purpose you want. If you want mechanical and simple. Get a lock jack.

The pear mallions and rigging plate is, IMO, way unnecessary. You are restricting the harness and yourself. Get out to a branch tip where your rope wants to go round your side under your arm I'd rather have a bridge and a small bit of metal that lies flat against me rather than two bits of steel and an even chunkier rigging plate stuck in my abdomen.

But What do we know!

Having the two attachments separated will make branch walking very difficult, often you want to hold the two parts of your rope as you walk, with your system you will only be able to hold one at once, which will pull you off balance.

It is good to "think outside the box", but generally the most common methods are used for very good reason and other methods have usually already been tried and rejected for good reason.
