Hi all,

I haven't really done any rigging but what sort of weight would you say is the limit for light rigging.

Jake

Good question, I reckon anything that can be lifted by the climber back up if it snags on the way down.

But remember to make an allowance for shock loading if your lightweight limb is going to free fall a few feet or a big pendulum before it is stopped by your locked-off fig8.

Interesting

On a high lower, so long as you got the right length of rope and with this climber controlled system, the climber could do a see-saw operation, attaching the tail to the next limb to be lowered while the groundie unties the lowered branch(es). This way the lowering rope doesn't have to be pulled back. Hmmm. This climber will be earning his wonga.

I like that idea, so will the groundy.

This is not something I have done. I like to "Be in the know". ha!

What rigging rope and diameter would you use for light rigging then?

Old climbing line.
