If I won the lottery, I'd carry on doing tree work and do outragous things like that just to see how bad a name I could get.

"Ooh no, you don't want to use that Dean lofthouse, he left a load of skid marks on my drive" :sneaky2:

if i win the lottery i am going to build the garden from hell, fill it full of jaggy bushes, patios, greenhouses, and never clean up after my 8 great danes. nail gun the life out all the dead elms in the garden then get guys in to do the trees and bomb round the garden with my pet chimp in my 2 seater dune buggy:001_tongue:

Hi. From experiance the mass produced ones are pants unless like one i saw, you ram a big cc bike engine in the back something like a r1 or something.

If you build one put decent brakes on it , sounds obvious but the one my friend built was a liability. Be carefull if you use a cable for the excelerator, how you route it and keep it greased. We had a throttle stick open which was not fun.

got loads of picture that i'm criping from for ideas want to use standard car hubs got all the pivot linkages all there some like vauxhall astra jobies some even have the disk caliper carrier builtin this modified will do bo front and back end.

As for steering i need to see if i can find a steering rack that can be shortened to make it suit the track width.

Drive transmition will be some thing like the picture below.

As for the frame it will be mostly bending tube thats as far as gotten so far.

Try looking at the vsrious V Dub sites. A Sand Rail used to be based around Beetle bits and kits used to be available from Kingfisher Kustoms as I recall. I'm thinking on the same lines as well, but to rip up and down Santa Pod. Go for it!
