L&s engineering is where I got mind, bought a ms200t for £40 as scrap! Spent £70 on bits sold it for £290 !!!

 

I used the aftermarket piston, worked a treat! Can't comment on durability tho as sold the saw soon after

Meteor are Italian and are the best quality after the original OEM part but at a fraction of the cost.

 

I have fitted many and never had any issues, they are fitted with quality Caber rings and have nothing but praise for them and well worth the extra money IMO.

 

As Rich says, make sure the cylinder is good and if the saw has seized at some stage, make sure the reason is sought and fixed before using the saw.

I am and have been using the new non original ms200 piston and cylinder kit supplied by mike at sawbits.co.uk comes with a 12 month guarantee and it has been running for 6 months now. I would not fit a piston to a old cylinder if not the same manufacturer. the cost of the kit is £65.00. are you sure its not carb playing up as this is easily fixed with a drop of epoxy resin.

I've been using sawbits also. Just the piston tho as didn't need a cylinder until this week.
