I took my camera to work today and took some shots of what we have been up to. Some great trees to work with. Enjoy:001_smile:

1.Monday. Reduction of weight on major limbs and removal of major dead wood - Beech with Ganoderma.

2.Monday. Johns Cedar Monolith.

3.This morning. Matt Chogging down the last of a Cedar that had extensive die back. We lowered everything on Tuesday and took the wood away in a grain trailer.

4.Today's Cedar, more lowering but enough room to fell the butt.

5.Stopped for an early lunch while a funeral is held.

6.The butt on the ground at the end of the day.

SWB, you should see the one i asked dean to come and have a look at: a big fagus that hasn't been touched for about fifty years(slight exageration) on a slope with gravestones and a public footpath underneath. Still he's game for taking it on just need to see what the church committee says. Oh and access is a total nightmare with the brash drag from hell.

Nice pics mate. I have worked in graveyards , find them really peaceful and a good place to work. Usually nice trees aswell. Have to admit the headstones and other targets can be a pain but overall nice work.

i worked in a graveyard in munich, every grave had to be sheeted over with plastic and even then the smallest twig wasnt allowed to land on the grave. it was hard work but satisfying especially as all i ever did was climb. :001_cool:
