Can you pump up a 201t

As above can you increase the power of the 201 ?. Im starting to get annoyed at the slump in pick up speed.

 

I was thinking opening the exhaust but can the current carbs increase the fuelling to match ?.

Yes, you can richen the mix up slightly, but if you really want to beef it up speak to spud about porting it

Try adjusting the L screw by between an 1/8 to a 1/4 turn when warm makes acceleration pickup much better

 

Still no 200 tho

I'd get Richard to give it a tweak for you at Stantons Tel. You won't get that instant pick up like at MS200 mate, its engine is designed to meet EU regulation not improve on what we already had

There are a few mods the Americans are doing. Been reading about a few yet havnt actually done them. But then the USA saws are different to ours.

I have a 201t i could experiment with, what are the yanks trying im guessing the saws must be quiet similar other than carb or exhaust ?.

I think the EPA saws are similar ( just different the stickers ) . Its the California specific saws that are stricter on emissions . So much so that the already " pants " Husky 338 had to have the capacity upped to 45cc to try and get some sort of performance out of it . It was still worse than the 38cc one .

From what I have figured out that is where the concentration is going. Similar mods to the 200 saws.

 

As for porting I havnt got a clue. Or how far it could go. The 200 didn't leave much for porting and I'm unsure if the 201 has anything in it.
