Well I live to work, because I love my work. I'd rather be in the yard than at home with the woman any day. If I ever start to feel differently, I'll change how much I work. Until then... *Disclaimer* This only works with certain women. I seems to have been lucky so far!

 

A couple of years ago, I was starting at 5AM doing a paper round, then working till ten at night in the summer. Without doing this, I would not have the business I have now at 24.

 

However, with hindsight, two things:

 

1. Work smarter, not harder. How you achieve this is up to you. If I'd filled those hours spend working for £10 an hour with time spend planning, advertising etc rather than nose to the grindstone, I would be a lot further ahead.

 

2. Unless she's REALLY the one, and you place her above all else, then don't let her get to you. Some people are born with a 9-5 wage slave mentality. Those people make the rest of us money, by working for us and being too apathetic to compete.
