hi, once again in need of your solutions lol.

 

we have just brought a yard and started to tip wood chip but we wish to push it up in a pile around 6-8ft high, i have a small budget for a tractor etc of £2.5k - £3k. whats the best thing to buy for this and what can i afford with my budget... any ideas welcome.

hi there

for your budget id recommend a little david brown tractor with loader or similar,

we picked up a little 1390 2wd with loader for £3000.00 last year off ebay. was a good little workhorse and you can run a log splitter/saw bench as well in the future off it.

Be careful with storing chip in piles that high they have a habit of spontaneous combustion.

Aye get on the bay and see what you can find but steer clear of cheap telehandlers. I bought a sambron for 3k it run for about 3hrs!! Lesson learnt!!! Now i'll have to pay another 3k or so for a runner and then i'll have spares :)
