Hello,

thinking of getting 10m landyard which i also use as second line when climbing big trees. same setup as CE climb but was thinking just using 10mm OP for the rope. seem to remember some where the minimum for climbing/work positioning was 11mm?

also what is the reason for this? cant be strength?

Thanks

Hi I use 10mm for side strop works well with 8mm 76 cm op hitch tied in VT. on that I also have a pinto so that the hole thing can go on the 3rd middle hole on my hitch climber pulley! Works very well and keeps those lines away from the cuts !

I thought it would be ten as you can use a 10mm friction cord on a single leg like a blakes but no less.

Yep this its strength. 10mm rope is supposed to be used as part of a 2 rope system in rock climbing. Anything relying on just 1 rope should be 11mm I believe
