Try selling direct to large allotments and community farm type things - especially if they keep chickens as woodchip is worth more to them!

In our case due to the sheer amount we get, about 3000 ton a year, there is not the demand for that amount of fire wood in the south east.

realy? here in the north west you could easy sell that for £35 per ton hard wood and £25 for soft wood if not more

The next thing to look out for is biochar.

 

Made similar to charcoal only slightly more controlled and out of woodchip and general wood and leaf material. Done at a lower heat. As a compost it absorbs water so in a dry climate helpful.
