After a log splitter just come accross power packs for hydraulic splitters but I'm use to corkscrew ones as i reckon there faster? Only thing is they run off tractor pto.. Can you get something like the power pack for hydraulics but with pto drive?!

One other thing.. Spotted this on eBay, literally is spot on for me check it out..

Lifan engine. (Honda copy)

Will need more grunt than hat, especially if doing fibrous timber.

Personally I don't like screw type splitters.

I have a screw type splitter with its own engine ( 13hp Honda ) and it is quicker the my 20T hydraulic splitter as long as its easy stuff like syc . It really needs more torque probably 25 hp or more to make it good for everything . I will sort it one day .

Stubby your teasing me with those photos! Home made?? Your only in Crawley if you ever sell one

I'm not in Crawly ! perhaps you are though ? Sorry not for sale bud . I need em . Seriously though a self driven screw type is rthe way to go I recon but it needs something like a 3 cylinder Kabota engine to make it good on gnarly old Elm and the like .
