Interesting seeing the slow mo & how far the cut end flys from the stem.

 

Nicely slowed down by who ever was on the lowering device too.

 

That's a good observation.. Video is great for showing such things... makes me wonder if that large sweeping forward movement creates more or less force on the rigging system and tree... Seems like the gradual arc would smooth out the force, thus making for less shock load... I love to think about this stuff.

Big top Daniel, smoothly rigged.

Looks like there was room to flop it out, but I'm assuming this wasn't the case?

Hopefully this pic uploaded.. You can see the logs set up between the walkway and the man in white hard hat.. the stick was dropped there, went about half way across the street... there were some shrubs and the drive that prevented the top from being bombed though
