Are there any trees left in Glasgow?:001_tongue:

There's about 4 or 5 and we're putting them out of their misery next week, then we're moving to the Borders to compete with you, after we've felled the last tree there, we're moving on to Slasherscot's hood (South Lanarkshire), finally I'm retiring to Islay to live out my days catching fresh fish and lobster from my 12 ft wooden boat bought with the profits of all the trees I felled on the mainland :001_tongue:

Nice vid, the problem with straight fellinf is the 10 minutes of glory, followed by a days clearing up.

Now lets see the real nasty evil tricky stuff ! Not that i can talk I always go all sloppy shoulders and find something else to do.

btw, do you generally finish your cuts off with the silky or is that just so you can hold the camera with your free hand?

It was Hybrid Black Pop when I used the Silky at 1.25. Hadnt worked in one for about 8 years and I was wanting to see how the hinge acted, so held the camera with the free hand. Notice how it rips down the stem on the 1st and 2nd shot, will do side cuts under the hinge next time.

Who wants to watch 5 mins of arb vid where a tree just stands there, until finaly it falls with a crash? NO-one! Tim understands this very well. This is a airport novel of a video, straight to the action no filler. Excellent stuff Tim. Reg takes adifferent tack altogether with his vids, but still manages to make great watchable films.

I think people should see the bar has been set high, by these two guys in particular (obviously tahune day 3 etc is something else) and I'd like to see posters trying to emulate their style (s)

Once again great stuff Tim. Love the panoramas too.
