Hi,

I have been processing all our arb waste for the last two log seasons and things are picking up nicely. We have just landed a new contract to supply all year around and therefore considering buying in cordwood and using a processor.

Although I have access to the farmers tractor at our yard I would ideally be looking for something with its own engine to power it. Would rather not be any further in his pocket :)

Just after any advice or if anyone knows of any processors for sale. I would not rule out a tractor mounted one if the price is right, as may be looking to buy a tractor of our own next year anyway.

Thanks in advance Will

I have a JAPA 700 myself, good machine when starting out, I am rapidly outgrowing it though. Use a MF 135 to power it. No knowledge of the other two, dont see either up for sale that often.

If I were you I'd buy a real cheap tractor (you don't need good tyres/brakes/steering/cab/anything really!) that runs the PTO and then you open up a much wider choice of processor. You don't need a lot of power, you just want a cheap engine basically.
