What's the best knot to attach your climbing line to the line on a throw bag?

I just use a bowline but its not the most streamline of knots and sometimes has trouble making it over limbs:bored:

Please nothing too technical I'm a simple man :001_smile:

Get an old chainsaw file and heat it up red hot! Then burn a hole through the end of the climb line about an inch from the end. (I'm assuming you don't have spliced eyes, or else you would just tie the throwline to the eye!)

Then cut a short bit of throwline, thread it through the hole and tie it into a loop using a double fishermans. You now have a loop to clip a mini clip to and onto the throw bag.

Clove hitch then a series of half-hitches works well for straight lines. If you have a spliced eye then get a throwbag with a small fabric loop on the base and use a small clip to attach the bag to the eye.

if u mean attaching a throw line to your climbing line aye make a loop in the throw line tie a figure of eight choke it on your climbing line then use a series of half hitches keeps it straight and true. you can also use the tied loop on the throw line to attach to throw bag by passing it through the steel ring and then over the throw bag does this make sence:confused1:

All our ropes start off with spliced eyes, but they dont seem to stay that way for long :blushing:
