Good value - theres nowhere they will not go and if you have popeye arms there is no limit to stump size (it just takes gallons of sweat when you do hard stumps over 3ft diam.)

As for value - the next machine size up (20hp+ pedestrian machines) will set yopu back 6k or more so I'd say go for it. My SG13 rayco (almost identical) cost me £2.5k 10 years ago and it still earns me money.

I had o e and didn't rate it, nowt but trouble, the woodruff key kept disintegrating on the cutter wheel.

Don't know much about the husqy, but a cracking little grinder is the Carlton 900 and if you put the 500 series greenteeth on it you will be well pleased , it eats stumps, I think Liston still do the conversion.

I had a 900 and to be honest there is better machines for the money, it does not have adjustable handles which is an important feature. The best small grinder I have had and is the machine I have now is the Rayco RG 13, I have the Multi tip cutting system on it and its great, just wish it was self propelled. It's bombproof construction and easy to get parts for.
