Mine was about £350 including a days (5/6hr) training, hire of the box trailer and test.

Wow that's expensive, mine was £360 for 10-11 hours training, hire of the vehicle and trailer and the test

I'm in the wrong business, going to set up Trailer Instruction School at these rates, very good luck guys at passing your tests though.

 

I went for a job interview driving for Sussex Council before I went back to tree work, turned out to be a full LGV Test CBT then out driving a 17ton Vulture dustcart. Luckily I never passed the CBT only got 86% think the instructor and I were both relieved!

 

Its been 44yrs since I took a driving test....

I did hgv1 for not much more than that! C and then C+E

It must be the prices down South for this. I've spent ~£1100 on training and took 2 tests. Passed this week Again, wasn't my money but that's the cheapest I could find. All others started at £500+...£36 an hour wasn't bad... but if I'm told ONE MORE TIME to lift the handbrake before depressing the button I swear I'll shoot the instructor! Major anal...

Tis a bit more serious than that - it's driving a vehicle without the correct license. Don't know the penalties though.

Well done mate . It's only £20 an hour here haha and I know what you mean about the handbrake, nothing more annoying than being moaned at for that haha
