254xp The best saw ever made!

Took out my 254xp today after it had been on the shelf for a while, I had forgotten how good it is, loads of torque, smooth power and you can tune it properly unlike current saws. In my opinion the best saw ever made. I run mine with a 13" bar 3/8 50 link MINT!

If you like your 254's you should get your spares ordered soon, pistons and rings etc as we have been informed by our friendly local husky dealer that Husqvarna will soon be discontinuing spares for the 254.

 

Has anyone else heard this? or is it just shop talk?

Nah i dont think this is right, if you go on the husky site you can type in the saw number (eg 1100) and it will have a parts list etc....

Thought it sounded strange - but the chap was trying to sell me a new 357xp (think thats the right one)

 

Problem for him is I dont use huskys as a rule, prefer the Stihl.
