Rec climb West Worcestershire / Hfds / Shropshire border 20th April

If the pro's wanted to do a demo type video of an ascent my camera is good for that.

 

There will be all sorts going on Allister, be good to take some footage to share with everyone afterwards...

 

As I see it, and it's my party , the following will be the main themes of the day....

 

Social

Food

Countryside

Trying out new gear (zigzag and srtwp the main ones I think)

Aerial rescue practice for those who want to

Novices getting stuck in.

The more people have harnesses, the more hours climbing we can all get in, but not everyone is going to climb all day so I have no problem sharing my harness and I know there are others who intend on doing the same.

I am also coming at it from the perspective that i am trained in underground and confined spaces rescue including belines, harnesses and winches ( even breathing aparatus too) so to see any cross over of skill sets that i might be able to apply.

No breakfast for me thanks, I might just pitch up for an hour or so during the day, been meaning to do some rec climbing for a while as it is nice to climb for no real reason!

 

I'll bring the old tat if anyone wants to try it!! Would recomend going high with 20 year old three strand though! But the harness is good enough.
