Hi just looking for some info about the REC CLIMB that you are organiseing on the 20th wheather permitting.

Am based in droitwich and only joined arbtalk yesterday.i know a few people from tenbury and just need to know which pub you will be meeting at?and also i can see this being a little bigger then just a few turning up?

so are numbers LTD or canw we just turn up and help ach orther good climbers mixed with beginers?just asking.

kind regards

wayne.

Hi Wayne, pm me your email address and I'll send you the details.

I hadn't thought about limiting numbers because I never thought that more than half a dozen people would be interested!

However, I reckon we ought to cap it at 15, that way we can all climb in one area or split up into 2 groups. A few experienced climbers would be nice to help out the total novices, also I'd hope time served climbers would have a big old collection of gear

Most importantly it means the service will be better at breakfast

Who's farm is it? Yours?

Yes mate, well, half of it is family farm anyway, plus we farm all the arable land on the farm, peculiar set up :001_tongue:

I'm in Simon

No worries Jack :thumbup1:

When you moving? We need to go for a pint before you do :beerchug:

As a non professional taking a look in the goldfish bowl so to speak I don't mind being sidelined a bit on the day for those that need the practise. Happy with a chance to meet a few people, help out and see what's what if number get busy.

Don't be daft, there's plenty of room. So long as we have enough harnesses everything will be just fine  the trees we'll be in are big enough that a couple of people can get in them anyway :thumbup1:

I'm a confident climber, albeit with a mere 18 months on the job experience, but on the off chance that there is anyone even less experienced I'd be happy to help 'em out where I can. I only have my one harness, but I could probably knock together a couple of real basic lanyards and I have a spare rope if anyone needs to borrow it.

As Simon has already mentioned all kit is my own. I happily climb on it, but it isn't inspected by LOLER. So if you choose to use any of it its your call:biggrin:
