Why do we need so many acronyms for Single Rope Technique? 😡

I'm rocking the DdRSWTRPWDRTSRT technique. Using a rope wrench with a zigzag, unicender, lockjack and a prussic underneath. :001_smile:

Seriously though, I have a wrench/stiff tether/pantin/slings+krabs for redirects - what would you recommend for my next purchase? I thought about a hand ascender, but is it just an unnecessary luxury?

Get a hand ascender for long hauls also use it with a revolver with the tail clipped in it when you go out on long branch walks. Pull the tail on the way back in to tend slack.

Cheers paul - and the second part is something i wondered about the other day. Guess i'm going to have to buy some new shiney things:001_rolleyes:

Whats the best way to retrieve the climbing line from either running bowline and alphine butterfly with out only using half the length of climbing hope this makes sense

Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

In theory the rope will be twice the length of the height using a top tie in point. Not sure what your asking?

Not needed for smaller hauls but add a hand ascender and footloop for long ones
