No one seems to know how long it will last, but based on the number of friction points compared to the SJ, I would guess it will start to slip on 11mm rope after about 2 years.

are you comparing it to the number of times the SJ gets its cam replaced, or how long the body of SJ lasts?.

If its to the cam, you've got to consider that when using the SJ properly, the friction is between the wooden block and the cam, and not on the SJ body.

This gives two friction points only to carry the whole weight.

The body of the SJ wears diffrently depending on wether you use the device the way it was intended or have a nasty habit of not using the wooden block all the time. Just what i think anyways.

yeah silky i agree, which also means alot harder on the ropes.... i do like it, but time will tell on the damage/ amount of damage it does to the rope. also the pulley is way to small, as when your rope runs over a branch and back into the ZZ/pulley the the tail is rest against the back of your hand and burns when going fast/ gets in the way. Gloves help lots but still not ideal situation big pulley, like HC would sort it. I try and get couple pics up to show what i mean.

Also ran the Sj for year and ZZ is far superior in my books

Got to agree with you mog, it's very frustrating when it runs against your hands.it amazes me how they never corrected this problem before release.

Do you reacon if i attach a swivel onto the bridge of my harness then attach the ZZ to that, it would stop the rope burning problem ?
