I have a 12mm 60m lowering line and a tandem pulley,

Tom, you want one of those pulleys made for steel wire, they are twice as fast as a normal pulley, the normal ones are a bit dissappointing and we seized a new one up on our zip.

This scottish getogether had better be awesome after the years of planning thats gone into it :001_tongue:

I hope it will be awesome I'm really looking forward to it. As for the zip what pulley did you seize? I do have a wire type pulley, its the breaking mechanism that I want to sort out. I supose I could just make it a bit lower:sad:

Don't worry about braking tom, that's the funny part....

We had a crab attached to a rope on the bottom which someone with leather gloves on held, that was funny too, nearly rove their arms out of the socket.

If you attach a steel crab to the rope at the bottom and tie an alpine onto the crab so you have half the rope either side if the zip you can have a person on either side braking

That sounds sensible, we'll have to get some video of it.

You coming SWB?

i'm still suffering from this, knackered all my rotatorcuff in my left shoulder due to a certain somebody coming down the line at something approaching mach three because of mcsheffrey's super fast pulley:stickyman:

Weather forcast: cloud with sunny intervals:001_smile:

Gustharts are turning up with some kit to play with around 11:00 I'll be there setting things up from 10, possibly earlier. Feel free to turn up whenever as I know some can't make it during the day, there are also some people coming just for the day and not staying over. It would be helpful if everyone was here ready to play at 11:30 just so I can keep track of who is here and what they want to do etc, as well as show people where to pitch camp. I think mobile reception is poor there so ring before hand if you are not sure where to go.

I have arranged to borrow a large tent, its about 6x4m and so plenty big enough for anyone to sleep in if you've not got anything sorted.

My mobile is 07801-538-717 if anyone needs to get in touch.

See you on Saturday.:001_smile:
