Hi everyone.

Looking to buy my first Silky Saw but cannot decide whether or not to go for a straight blade or a curved blade.

Any of your tips and opinions please.

Cheers.

Have used both and I think they both have there pros and cons, the zubat being curved I find cuts through stuff quicker but isn't briliant for cutting out a gob whereas i found the strait blade cuts a little slower but is better for cutting out a gob, don't think there's a lot in it to be fair though

Thank you! Straight it is then. Gomtaro 300 a good saw?

Do you all use a saw pod or do you have it hanging off of your harness? If you have used both, what do you prefer?

I like my Gomtaro 300. I use it for pruning fruit trees and it's quick enough at taking large branches (I've done up to 8" apple) but precise enough for neat cuts and leaves a decent finish. I have nothing to compare it to though.
