hello all arb talkers.

I would like some advice i have recently set up my business i am self employed and currently subbie for a few firms and do my own work *when it comes in.

I am hoping that my own work will increase and become my main source of income.

I have a climbing kit and a top handle and small ground saw. full ppe

I would like some advice on what to aquire next i.e. tipper and chipper etc etc

I dont have much money to play with for this and i would prefer massively to save hard and then buy out right or a v good finance deal.

I have considered a small van and small chipper *gravity fed one for example. to use this for a while then when i make money out of it sell it on for a bigger chipper and van.

what are your thoughts experiences advice. i want to hear it all. so its over to you.

Keep your out goings low as possible bud, also work out if it might be cheaper to take the brash to the tip rather than taking a chipper on each job. Id get the van first and if and when needed hire a chipper

buy a pick up, stack the brash and run it to the dump

buy a rigging kit when you need it

buy a chipper when you think you can afford it

buy another truck when you get busier

remember your now going to need somewhere to keep all this gear

no body can really tell you how to do it, only you know when the right time to do things is

Buy kit as you need it as John says and don't spend £ unless its essential. Cash flow is always the thing that gives you the biggest headache (well apart from people!). Good luck.
