Theres a chinese brand called J K that are doing fake stihl an husqvarna saws, an brushcutters. Some of them, especially the huskys ,look like the real deal...put in J k chainsaws in google an take a look , its scary!

The 365 has got to be the ones on fleabay You can tell, its hard to say why as they are as you say scarily good but one or two things ... av springs are shiny not black ,bar paint is slightly wrong . Plastic moldings are right in the detail but not as acurate in size/shape due to a probable higher percentage on regrind materiel causing a bit of shrinkage . General " patina " gives it away . The engine will be crap though !

seem to think that I read somewhere once that Stihl orange boxes were fake ones and that Stihl wanted details about them, there's an MS250 brand new still sealed in box on fleabay at present

No actual link sorry but there are several . All from Malaysia . Just put in a search for Husqvarna Chainsaw ( as it is advertised as such ) then narrow it down to 365 .

There is no name on it so can't really be a "fake" as its not copying anything. Might have the same colours as stihl but doesn't say stihl.

 

Althought I did have a chuckle over it being called an mt9999... Wounder what the other models are called..

Sorry, meant the saw was fake not that particular seller was selling as anything other than fake. However they are being sold as Stihl all over -
