Whats that like on uneven ground- I can see it works with flat paddocks/lawns but if at all slopey then it must be a git to keep the cutter level/ upright

Mistake ruling out the Husqvarna . I have tried all sorts Stihl, Makita , Kawasaki . The 2 Huskys I have out cut em all . Double sided long reach and single sided short one . The short one sounds like a saw from a distance , it revs faster than any other hedge cutter .

 

my 39 inch huskys rev like f888, thought they might have an air leak,but maybe this is how they are ?

If you're interested I've got this one which is fitted with extra heavy duty Omega head and munches material up to 100mm. Has a reach of 8m. Be careful reaching downhill on soft ground!!
