heres a couple of projects i finished recently, all wood sourced from our own woodland.

Beech and walnut end grain chopping board. Made a batch of 4, not as compliacated as it looks.

Walnut and apple sliding dovetail jewelery box with secret locking pin.

Sorry about quality of pics,i seem to have damaged my camera.

I have been considering making a chess board in the same way, but how to make the matching pieces is hard, as I'm not a carved. any ideas greatly recieved.

That is one Heluva chopping board. I don't think I would want to use it with any thing sharper than a hand :biggrin:

 

Thx guys, gifted one to my sister, our helpful cousin, who was staying with her a few weeks cleared up her kitchen for her, the

Board and two handmade knives, my bro in laws work, straight in dishwaser! You really start to understand the different water absorbtion rates of different woods when you see the mess that came out.
