We've had no end of numpty's come do some labourin for us sayin there the hardest workers under the son. Most of them spend all day on there bloody phone or moaning that its cold or its to wet or to hot. Any excuse not to work. Then at the end of the week they want payin top bloody dollar. Thankfully we have had a couple of lads that are awesome workers, one lad even offered to work for nothing just wanted the experience.

Has anyone ever used polish workers before?

I hear allot of good things about thier work ethic and apparently they're pretty good at working hard.

I have some piece rate work on that we need labourers for, have to see how our current guys get on in the next month or so, if I keep getting complaints and aggro I think i'll look for a squad of polish guys.

Problem is, the pound is so crap at the moment they've all buggered off!

yes i have had a few numties and as for being on the phone nuf said. thanks alasdair for offer. I have a polish lad coming on next month for a trail, just language may be a problem and public image, people assume you pay penuts to foreign labor, but he'll get the same as everyone else, a shame the local lads arn't interested. i'll get there though and have a good base of skilled workers so just working on rest.

That sounds good advice - you talking from experience Volvo?

I'd never want to insult anyone's intelligence, all we need from a labourer is someone who is hard working, prepared to get stuck in and dosen't expect to earn stupid money for a weeks work.

I've had guys in the past few months that want ridiculous money for labouring, which brings on another topic - how much should a labourer earn?

The can is well and truly open now.. lol
