Me and a mate have a sort of savings pot for buying whisky.

We put a tenner each in the pot every week or so.

When we have £100-150, we buy a bottle of something really good.

Highland Park St Magnus reserve (£120) is the current bottle and it is bloody amazing.

It's a great way to try stuff you would normally struggle to justify the cost of.

There's a good book titled "101 Whiskies to Try Before You Die" by Ian Buxton It's worth a look and a good challenge.

 

Also, if it can be found, Scapa 12yr old is a very nice dram
