Landrovers are awsome

Just been down to pick up my Arbtalk raffle parcel and when I got to the industrial estate where the depot was I came across a 38 tonne artic jacknifed across the road.

 

He had been trying for 1 hour to get out and had called the police . The road was covered in snow and ice.

 

He and many other other bystanders couldn't believe it when I backed my landrover up to it and started to attach a strop.

 

"You've got no f'ing chance" was a shout I heard

 

The driver said anythings worth a try and just has we hooked up the police turned up in a discovery, we asked them to hook onto the front of my landy but refused because they are not allowed to tow stuck motorists

 

Driver jumped in his cab 1st gear tickover and I selected low first and everybody went deadly silent when the landy proceeded to rag the artic up the incline and back onto the main road

 

The artic had just unloaded so weighed about sixteen tonne, but I felt a little better after turning my back and leaving a doggy walker starnded this mornig

 

Didn't have time for pics I'm afraid, just needed to get road opened quickly
