Retractable tool lanyard

I've been thinking about getting one of these to use as my chainsaw lanyard

Retractable Tool Lanyard Cobra MKII Velcro Strap

They're rated to 5kg which is the same weight as a ms200t.

Not sure if that's taking it to close to the limit, what does everyone think.

That looks cool mate, I don't no how it would cope if you dropped your saw shocking it.

It says its been dynamically tested but can't find the testing page?

 

Looks smart but I reckon you'd soon break the back webbing/velco bit using it with a saw

Wouldn't put my saw on it but it would be good on my silky. My Kevlar dead man switch is about knackerd now!

I think the device it's self would stand up to the job, if you watch the video on their site the smash it with a hammer, I'm just worried about the attachment point on the back that goes to the harness

Back in the day... someone we worked with put his silky on a 'bungee' so it wouldn't drop to the floor!

 

Except one day when it retracted itself across the palm of his hand. My mate who saw it said it was one of the worst things he had seen, and he had seen a lot.
