If their burning wood as apposed to coal to cut emissions and that dome needs filling every 3 weeks if they are supplying 1 million homes. Im just thinking about the emissions from all the lorries supplying the chip. They must of done the maths though.

Seems that each county needs its own biomass power station to cut down on the milage.

 

Not sure that will help much, with 90% of the chip coming from USA and Canada :001_huh:

But coal dosn't jump out of the ground and turn up at power stations on It's own.

I wonder why they have to send the material rather than just sending the electric accross, it must be possible.

No,agreed, but surely you need less coal compared to bio mass to produce the same energy
