nail gun gas

will nailer gas still work if its out of date,i have 2 tubes that are fairly old ,say 2 years,both seem to be at least half full,nailer playing about yesterday,put a known new gas in and all was fine, ive probably answered this myself:001_rolleyes: just wondering if anyone has had similar issues, cheers

Paslode gas does go off, i had exactly the same problem.

 

Got 4 tubes from somewhere in Scotland off Fleabay for £15 delivered - bargain - and it was fine. There is also a special gas for lower temperatures.

 

I'll try to find out where i got it from.

Just be careful with the cheap nails as the gas is not the same think paslode gas has a lubricant in it. When I work as a joiner on the big sites they bought pallets of the cheaper nails but soon switched back to paslode as so many guns were going down with problems. Some people say it makes no difference but when you have to buy the machine yourself you look after them better so I never use cheap nails
