Would larger split, approx 10"x6"x6" logs be more suitable for woodburning stoves? Was thinking maybe the BMW, Audi brigade might go for them if they were told these are the "proper" logs for stoves !

Got a costumer how likes logs 18"x8" got a wood burner, don't take long to cut a load at that size.

90% of stoves I sell are 5kw or less, these typically want a log of 250mm long.

Yes there are a few that could use longer logs but 6 inch is the biggest diameter you should go to. Small diameters will dry faster and look better in teh stove, an odd jumbo is fine for a slower overnight burn.

Suggest you talk to your existing customers but having more than one length can be a pain storage wise.

8-10" is what most people are happy with, loads of new stoves are tiny!

A very small proportion of customers order 15" logs, but they often get through lots (3m3 every 2-3 weeks), but a lot of larger stove owners prefer to stack the logs front to back so like the shorter 8-10" size, I think it keeps the glass cleaner (thats what I was told)
