Saw a pair of Hen Harriers on a shoot i am beating/shooting on Monday. Although it is unheard of we like raptors on the shoot as they only pick off the wounded/weak/wild/old birds. They leave the healthy ones as they get out of the way quicker. The buzzards and occasional Red kite and migrant/released European Eagle owl keeps tabs on the local Fox population.

Snowing and very cold down here on the south coast so just come in from stocking up the bird feeders, covering up the bird bath so they can have a drink in the morning and chucking a few meal worms on the sheltered bits of the borders for the ground feeders, so come on guys and girls get off the sofa and check those feeders are full  please

Good on a Jon for starting the thread :001_cool:

Got a resident robin in the barn now; he's there every day and gets very excited when I put his porridge oats out for him! The other day me and my mate were at snack time and he showed up so I got the jar out etc. He then sat on the top of the log splitter ram and sang and sang and sang as if to say "yum yum, cheers!":lol:
