Someone's been trying to pinch your wheels And maybe been spooked in the process?

Exactly same thing happened to a neighbour last wk and the garage said at the moment this is a common problem!!

We don't think it's that as we have a secure compound that has CCTV

Anyway, I would go the easy option and nick the spare.

Clean up the wheels & hubs where they make contact, ensure the threads on wheelnuts & studs are good,& torque them up with a dab of loctite or similar.

Just a thought.

Apparently according to the garage- operators of over 3.5tonnes have to check regularly as part their operators licence. Local bin men have instant dismissal if they are found with arrows out of alignment (heresay). Makes me think there is something in this and that is why we are getting yellow arrows and weekly torque ups on maintenance schedule so it doesn't happen again.

Might be something in that,no harm in a drop of paint on the wheelnut/wheel as a quick visual.
