cant remember what sp of wood chip, what do they typically grow on?

 

There's about 27 species of Coprinus.

 

They host on a varied range of habitat, quite a few host on dead wood.

 

 

Your guess is as good as mine.

 

 

But not of any great significance I'd wager.

A veritable fungal carpet on this Pear mulch bed.

 

Big ones Volvaria speciosa - Common Rose Gill

You can't really see them on the second shot at 1 o clock, but they were Hypholoma fasiculare - Sulphur tuft

I think the rest are Coprinus lagopus - Wooly Inkcap
