each ecosystem will have its specific one, evolved for that zone.

 

dont eat it off yew trees, a child was said to have horrible side effects from eating Laetiporus, I suspect it came from a yew tree.

 

Yes quite right Tony. I would not eat anything that came from a Yew, knowing how leathal the foliage is, not forgetting to mention the seed in the fruit.

mmmm, sundays little bimble round the Whip, I was really sorry to have missed the gone over clump from a malus I knew would be a possible holder, would have been the biggest Ive ever seen to date and ive seen some lumps in my time. Reckon this would have been pushing 20+pounds in its prime, the old white one.

one of the mxyos for sure but I cant remember the name of it offhand, found lots of it recently too, the slime moulds etc love this damp warm weather.
