Presuming that by 1 ton dumpy bag frenchy means a standard builders bag which is just over 0.5 m3 so £50 sounds like a fair price to me.

Agreed, seems ok to me when it's only half a cube. £50 for a builders bag and they collect it at that price. Delivery extra.

Most people know what a bulk bag is like. I use old sand bags from builders merchants, 80x80. :)

You're right people seem to be able quantify how much they are getting a lot better when you say 2 builders bags than if you try and tell them it's 1m3. I've done a few loads out in builders bags now and think it might be the way to go next winter.

People seem a lot happier to pay say £90 for 2x 0.5m3 builders bags than they are to pay £90 for a 1m3 trailer load despite them being basically the same?!

I know mate, I was meant to take my 10x5 ifor with logs 18" sides to a guy but the acess was crap so I took them in the back of my landy which has chip body, I have measured it and it holds exactly the same, I even wrote the calcs down! I got there and he was moaning so I showed him the measurements and he still wouldn't believe me!! You just can't go wrong with a dumpy bag in my opinion.:)
