just wondering what your rate is for a bag of seasoned logs, i was thinking of having a little go my self. I was thinking maybe £4 per bag, 3 bags or more=delivered free. 1 tonne bag £50 delivered free, 1 astra van/kangoo load £85 delivered.

around here it seems to be £3.50-£4.50 per bag, I guess your sales depend on how cold the winter is:001_smile:

Tonne bag seems cheap, I wouldn't want to fill one for that.....

Its dearer than what people do round here lol

It would be good at 50.00 if delivered locally... only thing with more people doing it is that "some" want to be cheaper to sell more so drive prices down...

50.00 isn't bad depending on bag size :)

You need to work out your costs. What the timber cost you. Man hours spent processing. Fuels cost etc before you can give a proper price

timber price would be low and most likely fuel, i can cut and split and fill a 1 tonne bag in about 1 hour and a half-2 hours if really going for it

I won't sell a full tonne bag for less than £65, take it or leave it!

I don't want to undercut anyone!

I'd be inclined to take a longer term view of potential input costs perhaps, better to make more profit now at the expense of a few customers than making only a small profit now then losing hoards of customers when you have to increase your prices significantly.....?

Think i'll be upping prices this year again... you have to try and work smart don't you, even by a fiver or so, you earn more but work less :001_smile: or something like that lol
