Mines about a litre and a half, always go bigger than you think you need, everyone wants a brew when you're making. Plus if you're only making for yourself, you have plenty for brews later in the day.

I have the base camp. Excellent piece of gear for producing a lot of boiling water very quickly. You do end up becoming slightly obsessed with collecting tumble drier lint as tinder though...

Have a Ghillie kettle. Same as but with a whistling top which is great if, like me, you tend to get waffling and forget it's on!

Have none of the add-ons that can be bought but as a kettle it is fantastic.

One thing always puzzled me - my Kelly has a cork on a chain and the instructions say do not boil with cork in place (even though it has a hole in). So what's the difference to having a whistle on???

A whistle has a small hole in and when it lets steam out it, well it whistles:biggrin: whereas with a cork in the steam builds up and bang, you've got a steam powered pop gun.

I've the large one, 1.5litres, and I love it. Can't see the point of the stove kit, I tried holding a small pan of soup over the fire hole the other day - took ages to get the soup even slighlty warm.
