hi all, i bought a saw a while back, (stihl) it came with a 24" bar on it... is this old measurements before they went on to 25" 3/8s btw.

 

also can you still get chains? get shop to make them up...

 

just wondering wether to keep it or let it go with a saw...

Doesn't markings on the bar specify drive link count (DL)?

 

Most likely 84 (assuming 3/8").

It might not be a Stihl bar which means there is a chance the oil hole wont line up with the outlet on the power head . Its rare but I have seen that problem in the past .
