Yes that's a silly one, the rw is not for primary life support. There's plenty of good videos on YouTube explaining how it fully works:D

It you use a zig zag on srt, do you still need a rw?

 

I imagine the burning of the friction won't be so much of a problem.

I believe zigzag, bulldog and unicender can all be used in their own. Spider / lock jacks need additional friction management....

Zizag cannot be used srt on its own and petzl state its only for Ddrt.

Did you have the connector made up? Can't really make it out in the picture.
