A couple extra hundred in kit is a myth. I am sure you could srt just fine with the kit you currently own. It's just one rope.

Sorry Kev, I meant as in to convert my existing ddrt hitch climber system to a rope wrench system. All I need is an rw and a pantin really, but that's getting on for 150 quid including the vat. I've already got a croll so add in a nice footpro and a bit of bungee cord from somewhere and it's going to be the wrong side of £150 for what I need to get the rope walker set up I fancy.

Soon though! :thumbup1:

For the effort that it saves you it's money very well spent.

Compare it to dragging brush all day or stacking it on a Stein Trolley.

After six months it's worth it's weight in gold!

I would like to try srt but is a wrench vital.

I haven't actually worked out what it does yet.

I know there is a long thread on it but...

I asked the same question a couple of pages into the rw thread.

Essentially a normal friction hitch from ddrt running in a single line is subject to twice the friction which could burn it out. Rw splits the friction between itself and the hitch. Kev calls it the limb which goes with you, it's 1:1 climbing with the friction of 2:1. Genius!_
