christ that is crazy our 090 has only ever had a 48" bar

Must be fun dropping big sticks like that, and at the same time it must be a nightmare - it must be difficult just to pick the saw up!

haha does look old lol, but the 090 we have also been talking about doesnt have a chain break either

From what i understand, stihl still make a pallet load of these each year and there arnt anyway 090 produced with chainbreaks and thats half the reason why there not marketed in this country and europe.

 

Weather this is strictly true or not, i dont know.

ive got a 56" bar for my alaska mill in the shed. I bought it with the mill from the states.

 

It does look funny on my husky 61 but should look grand on my 'stihl' 084!

Some of the old timers used to get two bars, cut the nose off one and the tail off the other and weld the two together.
