what carabiner?

I collect karabiners like kids collect stickers haha. Always had a soft spot for my black mongoose though cos it was the first one i bought 5 years ago,lookin a bit tattered now though. I really rate the petzal oval krabs alot but didn't rate the ball lock ones,just couldn't get to grips with them.

i have too many krabs to name but i repeatedly reach for the petzle ok tl ovalas, the dmm HMS and the petzle amd ball lock.

 

i hav a range of isc crabs but not a big fan of any of them but they are popular,

 

whatever you buy get some lub and a tooth brush and some fairy

Why are you not a fan of ISC karabiners, sticky gates? The rigging biners are very nice.

I don't think a captive eye biner is suitable for mainline attachment! It would have to be permanently attahced to the bridge of the harness which is too restrictive, you may find you want to remove it more often than you think.

 

HMS biners are ideal for mainline attahcment for prussik loop users. small geckos and sentinels etc are good for the end of your lanyard.
