Highest tree.

thats nothing, I once climbed a tree that was taller than the chimney pot on the house next to it and I coulld see into next doors garden. A helicopter went over and nearly gave me a haircut.

Back at college, a few of us went down to the New Forest to do some stealth recon. climbs on the redwoods along tall tree avenue. Not sure of the height but it made the mature oaks around it look tiny. At the top of the highest one not only did we find the most amazing view, but an old video box with paper and a pencil in it to leave a message and name!! This was 2001, wonder if it's still there?!

great story mate, i love finding stuff in trees. when i was a kid i used to mark all the trees i had climbed with duck tape as high as i could. climbing as a kid was amazing now we call it free climbing and is frowned upon in the work place but i still cant resist a play when i am walking the dogs

Poor bloke, Do you know what caused him to fall? I seem to remember the first few branches sloping downwards making them dodgy anchor points, and wrapping around the main stem on a redwood doesn't get you too far! I remember taking it very easy as I pulled up to that first branch, keeping the angle to as near vertical as poss.

OMG, I didnt know you were on the popes power boat with those 3 american girls aswell?? Where you there that day when "Popey" (not popeye) went so fast that the earth started spinning faster and faster until hell froze over and the flames from the depths broke out on the surface and all the pigs had to suddenly grow wings to avoid becoming a packet of Frazzles..
