Working holiday Australia

Just get over here and give it a go! You will find work if you look hard and you will get to do big stuff if you want it enough. You will get paid more than you would in the UK but the cost of living is a bit higher. Saying that I'm pretty sure you could save up enough in 6 months work to spend another 6 months travelling if you are good at budgeting. Good luck!

fair play man, takes some bollocks to go over with no set plans. going abroad was the best decision I ever made !

Ditto, its been three months here in Germany.

i came over with no job organised just my tickets and experience.

I gave Beddes Strasser a call and had the pleasure of working with him for awhile and then from that moved into a highly passionate company where i get to do very technical work with the best kit out.

it was the best decision i've made and it opens your eyes to new styles and attitudes towards tree care :thumbup1:

So I'm looking to all sorts. But can't decide where to start. Melbourne or Brisbane? Or even Perth?

I'v opted to start my trip in Perth. I definitely want to work in Melbourne, and I have relatives to visit in Sydney. My logic being if I start my trip in Perth, then at least I have been there and seen a tiny bit of the west coast before moving on.

The problem is the place is so damned big! No chance of experiencing it all with just a 12 month visa.
